Regulator Guide: Complete Oversight Workflow

Verify companies, monitor shipments and contracts, run compliance checks, and generate reports.

1. Verify companies

  1. Open Companies and filter by role, verification status, or province.
  2. Open a company to review business details, uploaded documents, shipments, contracts, and history.
  3. Check the business licence, role-specific licences, and insurance certificates.
  4. Click Approve, or Reject with a written reason.
  5. The company is notified by email and its status updates immediately.

2. Monitor shipments

  1. Open Shipments and filter by mineral type, status, date range, or province.
  2. Open a batch to see the complete audit trail, documents, contract, and counterparties.
  3. Click Verify chain to check hash integrity.
  4. If something looks wrong, click Flag for review, set the severity, and describe the concern.

3. Review contracts

  • Open Contracts to see terms, both signatures, and the linked shipment.
  • Flag any contract that needs follow-up; flags appear in the compliance queue until resolved.

4. ESG & compliance monitoring

  1. Open ESG & Compliance to review reported energy, CO₂, water, and waste by company and region.
  2. Watch licence and insurance expiries surfacing at 30, 60, and 90 days.
  3. Raise a flag with a severity of low, medium, high, or critical.
  4. Resolve a flag by adding resolution notes — the full history is retained.

5. Generate reports

  • Audit report — per shipment, exportable as PDF or CSV.
  • Company compliance report — verification state, flags, and document status.
  • ESG report — one company or the whole sector.
  • Sector report — filtered by mineral type.
  • Funding impact report — see the Funding report article.

6. Funding impact snapshots

  1. Open Funding report and click New snapshot.
  2. Enter jobs created or retained, SMEs supported, IP generated, and capital leveraged (CAD).
  3. Select the provinces supported and add a narrative summary.
  4. Save — the snapshot is timestamped and kept in the historical list for grant reporting.

Common issues

  • Can't see companies — your regulator role must be approved by an administrator.
  • Chain verification unavailable — a shipment needs at least two events.
  • Report won't download — allow pop-ups and downloads for mineliqo.com.
